AID TO THE CHURCH IN NEED – ONE MILLION CHILDREN

Friends,
              we are fast approaching the celebration of the third edition of the World Rosary Day (WRD).

Even though it may sometimes appear that not much happens in between annual events, the maternal mediation of Our Lady is directing affairs in a way that constantly leads to higher aims and results.

Thus, we have made a virtuous agreement with the International Pontifical Foundation Aid to the Church in Need (link). Beyond providing material support of the Catholic faithful in distress worldwide, over the past two decades ACN has been building the goal to have one million children (6-12 y/o) pray the Rosary on October 7th, following the words of St. Pio di Pietrelcina: «When one million children pray the Rosary, the world will change» (link). Since the WRD promotes the Rosary on a global scale, it was meant that we should formally join efforts. 

As the WRD is also blessed to have had since the beginning the support of the White Army (link), an international network of study and prayer groups, also inspired by Padre Pio, which since 1973 expressly gathers and guides children to pray the Rosary, that precious million-goal is now well within reach. 

This initiative was presented to our Pope Leo, who embraced it with joy, and decided to commence the preparation towards the liturgical feast of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary by leading a Rosary with one thousand Roman children in the Vatican Gardens on October 1st. More news and images will follow on this event.  

We can thank Our Celestial Mother for showing us the way to expand the reach of the Rosary: which is to join efforts and proceed in unity.
